Add some festive cheer to your establishment

It’s Christmas!

Everyone has their own ideas about seasonal decorations and how much is too much or if you can’t ever have too much. Whatever your views, here are our top tips to tastefully add a festive feel to your business.

Fairy lights

If they don’t scream welcome, it’s cosy in here, then what does? They create a wonderfully warm atmosphere and just look beautiful. You can put these anywhere. Around your windows, inside and/or outside, frame the entrance, hang them over the bar or around any other archways you have, and of course, around your Christmas tree.

Window and entrance decorations are a must

If someone is trying to decide where to go to eat, or drink or for a sit down, the most inviting window will win out. Depending on your establishment’s style there is a whole host of decorations to choose from. As well as fairy lights, garlands are great and then there’s tinsel, bells and bows – there’s so much to choose from. You might want to consider a large ornament like an elf or penguin to show potential customers that they will have fun if they walk through your door. The options are endless.

Tables are great platforms for decorations …

As long as there is still room for your customers to use them. You can add a lovely Christmassy centrepiece, adorn them with small baubles or festive confetti and just have the addition of a nice ornament like these reindeer. Candles are great all year round but are particularly stunning when used on a dark Winter’s night. They complement the fairy lights beautifully to create a romantic or cosy atmosphere and your customers won’t want to leave they’ll feel so snug and relaxed.

Don’t forget your outdoor area

The cold weather does not deter many people from enjoying the outside area so make sure you cater for them too. Depending on the weather conditions again, candles are great. But simple decorations such as pine branches or garlands remain in-keeping with the outdoor environment. You don’t need to go overboard with this, simple and understated can be incredibly effective like this one. Plus if it isn’t too Christmassy you can keep the decoration out throughout Winter.
